Gold August and Silver July futures are trading on a flat note at $ 1,182.10 and $ 15.942, respectively.

ENERGY

Crude Oil July future has shed 0.4 percent at $ 60.55.

Natural Gas July future has dropped 0.6 percent at $ 2.801.

BASE METAL

Copper July future is marginally in green at $ 2.675.

Commodity Market News-28 April 2015

MCX Copper April expiry contract gained on Monday. Prices moved past to Rs 385 that was acting as a formidable resistance.

Copper ended the day at Rs 387.65 on  April 2015 against 385.10 per kg on 24 April 2015. On Monday trading gains are expected to get resisted at Rs 383 and 380 per kg.

Gold prices ended higher Monday and moving above Rs 27,000. The prices ended the day at Rs 27,083 per 10 grams on 27 April 2015 against Rs 26,701 per 10 grams on 24 April 2015.

Gold price tested a high of Rs 27,135 per 10 grams and a low of Rs 26,707 per 10 grams.

The MCX Crude Oil May futures are moving in a broader range of between the higher-end of the Bollinger Band (Rs 3,870) and 50-DMA (Rs 3,395) on the daily charts for the past many trading sessions.

Gold future prices are quoted at Rs 27,028 - down Rs 55, or 0.2 percent. The counter has seen trades of around 670-odd lots, and the open interest has added almost 300-odd lots at 6,965-odd lots on the MCX.

MCX Silver May contracts are also down 0.2 percent at Rs 37,076. The commodity has touched a low at Rs 37,035 and a high at Rs 37,156.

BULLION

Gold June future is marginally up in early trade at $ 1,205.70.

Silver May delivery has gained 0.2 per cent at $ 16.413.

ENERGY

Crude Oil May future has advanced 0.4 per cent at $ 51.82.

The MCX Crude Oil April futures ended on a positive note for the second straight day. On Friday, the energy contracts tested support around the 50-DMA at Rs 3,132, but however recovered losses and ended with a mere gain of 0.2 per cent at Rs 3,220 as value-buying continued.

Natural Gas May future has shed almost a per cent at $ 2.490.

The April MCX Natural Gas futures are seeking support at the lower-end of the Bollinger Band on the daily charts for the past two trading sessions. On Friday, the energy futures ended with a loss of 0.4 per cent at Rs 158 as selling continued.

BASE METAL

Copper May delivery has added 0.3 per cent at $ 2.742.

BULLION

Gold June future has declined 0.5 per cent at $ 1,197.20.

Silver May and Platinum July series have shed over 0.5 per cent each at $ 16.348 and $ 1,160.15, respectively.

ENERGY

Crude Oil May delivery has jumped more than a per cent to $ 51.05.

The MCX April Crude Oil futures saw a U-tern in yesterday's trade on account of profit-taking.

On Wednesday, the energy futures tested a low of Rs 3,166, before signing off the day - with a significant loss of over 3 per cent (Rs 143) at Rs 3,182.

Natural Gas May contract is trading on a flat note at $ 2.624.

The MCX April Natural Gas futures are not giving any clear signals on which way the prices are moving. On Wednesday, the energy futures tested a low at Rs 163 and a high at Rs 167, before settling with a loss of 2.7 per cent at Rs 164 following NYMEX Natural Gas futures.

Copper May future is trading lower by 0.2 per cent at $ 2.729.

BULLION

Gold June and Platinum July futures have shed 0.4 per cent each at $ 1,214.20 and $ 1,173.15.

Gold prices ended higher Monday but shying away from Rs 27,000. The prices ended the day at Rs 26,997 per 10 grams on 6 April 2015 against Rs per 10 grams on 26,597 on 2 April 2015.

Gold price tested a high of Rs 27,095 per 10 grams and a low of Rs 26,645 per 10 grams.

Silver May future has dropped over a per cent at $ 16.918.

ENERGY

Crude Oil May future has slipped 0.7 per cent at $ 51.77.

Crude oil prices gained marginally on Monday to end the session at Rs 3,254. The prices of Crude Oil has now been moving near crucial psychological resistance of Rs 3,300 per barrel.

Natural Gas May future has gained 0.3 per cent at $ 2.659.

BASE METAL

Copper May future has spurted around a per cent at $ 2.738.

MCX Copper April expiry contract lost on Monday on the back of profit booking. Prices inched closer to Rs 370 that is acting as a formidable support base.

BULLION

Gold June future has jumped 1.5 per cent at $ 1,218.90.

The MCX Gold June futures have gained 1.4 per cent so far in trades today and have also cleared the higher-end of the Bollinger Band on the daily charts which is at $ 26,880.

Silver May delivery has extended gains, the precious white metal has now surged almost 3 per cent to $ 17.180.

The MCX May Silver futures have started the day on strong note, with a surge of nearly Rs 300 at Rs 37,635 owing to gung-ho rally in NYMEX Silver prices.

The Silver prices soon extended gains and jumped to a high of Rs 38,205 - up Rs 856 from its previous close of Rs 37,349.

ENERGY

Crude Oil and Brent Oil May futures have spurted over 2.5 per cent each at $ 50.47 and $ 56.40, respectively.

The MCX Crude Oil April future is trading on a firm note following the international Crude Oil prices.

The Crude Oil price in India is trading higher by 3 per cent at Rs 3,127.

Natural Gas May future has bucked the trend and dropped 1.4 per cent at $ 2.675.

The Indian Natural Gas opened with a loss of 0.6 per cent at Rs 168. Thereafter, the energy future has extended losses and has slipped over a per cent to a low of Rs. 167.20.

The Natural Gas price in India has shed 0.9 per cent at Rs 167.50.

Copper May delivery has also surged over 3 per cent to $ 2.820.

Gold April future has slipped 0.5 per cent at $ 1,194.60.

ENERGY

Crude Oil May future has dropped 1.5 per cent at $ 48.15.

The April MCX Crude Oil futures after facing strong resistance above the higher-end of the Bollinger Band (Rs 3,290), however reversed its gains in Friday's trade and ended with a significant loss of over 3 per cent (Rs 101) at Rs 3,152. The fall in the energy futures was on account of profit-booking after the commodity galloped 11 per cent in three trading sessions.

Natural Gas April future has shed over a per cent at $ 2.628.

The MCX Natural Gas logged losses for the third day in a row, owing to set fall in NYMEX Natural Gas prices after US natural gas supplies rose for the first time since last April.

Commodity Market News-27 March 2015

The MCX Silver March future is trading on a negative zone tracking NYMEX Silver prices.

The MCX April Gold futures seem to be on joyride as the precious yellow metal surged for the seventh day in row and has also cleared the 50-DMA on the back of strong rally in NYMEX Gold prices.

On Thursday, Gold prices rallied above the higher-end of the Bollinger Band (Rs 26,840) to touch a high at Rs 26,990, but however pared gains to end below the Bollinger Band - with a gain 1.2 per cent (Rs 318) at Rs 26,801.

The MCX Gold April future is trading on a negative note following the NYMEX Gold futures.

The MCX Natural Gas April futures moved lower for the second straight day and slipped below the 20-50-DMAs, owing to weakness in NYMEX Natural Gas prices.

The Crude Oil April MCX futures rallied for the third straight day, owing to big gains in NYMEX Crude Oil.

MCX Copper April expiry contract gained on Thursday continuing with its zig zag moves.
