BULLION
Gold June future has jumped 1.5 per cent at $ 1,218.90.
The MCX Gold June futures have gained 1.4 per cent so far in trades today and have also cleared the higher-end of the Bollinger Band on the daily charts which is at $ 26,880.
Silver May delivery has extended gains, the precious white metal has now surged almost 3 per cent to $ 17.180.
The MCX May Silver futures have started the day on strong note, with a surge of nearly Rs 300 at Rs 37,635 owing to gung-ho rally in NYMEX Silver prices.
The Silver prices soon extended gains and jumped to a high of Rs 38,205 - up Rs 856 from its previous close of Rs 37,349.
ENERGY
Crude Oil and Brent Oil May futures have spurted over 2.5 per cent each at $ 50.47 and $ 56.40, respectively.
The MCX Crude Oil April future is trading on a firm note following the international Crude Oil prices.
The Crude Oil price in India is trading higher by 3 per cent at Rs 3,127.
Natural Gas May future has bucked the trend and dropped 1.4 per cent at $ 2.675.
The Indian Natural Gas opened with a loss of 0.6 per cent at Rs 168. Thereafter, the energy future has extended losses and has slipped over a per cent to a low of Rs. 167.20.
The Natural Gas price in India has shed 0.9 per cent at Rs 167.50.
BASE METAL
Copper May delivery has also surged over 3 per cent to $ 2.820.
